Technical Change Facilitator

About the Role

The Technical Change Facilitator plays a vital role in advancing technical and operational improvements across the organisation. Collaborating with Technical Advisors, Operational Leaders, Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, and HSQE teams, this role is responsible for assessing, documenting, communicating, and integrating enhancements to work practices, procedures, competencies, and compliance standards.

Facilitating understanding, adoption, and long-term sustainability of changes is accomplished through coaching, partnership, training, assurance undertakings, and ongoing improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

This position supports the effective implementation and institutionalisation of technical updates, industry regulations, and best practices throughout Northpower's operational groups. Partnering closely with Technical Advisors, operational leaders, and HSQE teams, the role focuses on refining work methods, procedures, and technical documentation while encouraging safe, compliant, and efficient operations. Key duties include offering technical coaching, supporting capacity building and training, fostering frontline leadership via teamwork and continuous learning, contributing to audits and assurance, tracking change effectiveness, ensuring compliance, and keeping teams informed about regulatory developments. The role also drives continuous enhancement and innovation by spotting ways to boost safety, operational efficiency, and productivity while aiding business improvement measures and sharing organisational lessons learned.

Candidate Profile and Experience

The ideal candidate thrives on influencing others, building robust relationships, and simplifying complex technical information for practical application. Essential qualifications and experience include:

• Electrical or Engineering qualification or an active practicing licence
• Industry experience in electricity distribution, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
• Solid knowledge of operational risk management and technical safety principles
• Familiarity with industry legislation, compliance standards, and best practices
• Outstanding communication, coaching, facilitation, and influencing capabilities
• Strong report writing and proficient computer skills
• A proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset
• Preferably, expertise in audit and risk management
