Trainee - Planning & Strategy

Role Overview

We are seeking a Planning & Strategy Trainee to contribute to business expansion by supporting strategic planning, competitive market analysis, performance monitoring, and facilitating cross-department collaboration. This role requires identifying growth prospects, enhancing operational workflows, and promoting data-informed decision processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate short and long-term business strategies that align with corporate objectives
• Conduct comprehensive market research, analyze competitors, and study industry trends
• Assist in preparing annual operational plans, budgets, and revenue forecasts
• Monitor crucial business KPIs and develop management reporting dashboards
• Identify opportunities for business growth, cost reduction, and process optimization
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Product teams
• Create presentations and strategic recommendations for leadership assessment
• Oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives ensuring deadlines are met
• Evaluate business performance and generate actionable insights

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Finance, or related fields
• MBA degree favored for mid to senior-level positions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and various data analysis software
• Experience with business planning, management information systems reporting, and strategy development frameworks
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
• Capability to thrive in a high-paced, cross-functional environment

Preferred Experience

• Between 2 to 8 years’ professional experience in areas like Strategy, Business Planning, Consulting, Financial Planning & Analysis, or Corporate Planning
• Background in sectors including FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing, Technology, or Startup environments is advantageous
