Role Overview

We are seeking a User Researcher to join our diverse team focused on designing and delivering innovative digital products and services for government and private clients. This role demands excellent listening and communication skills, combined with a creative and analytical mindset to understand problems and foster inclusive, human-centered experiences. The ideal candidate values both business and user perspectives, is eager to broaden their skill set ('T-shaped skills'), and embraces new challenges.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Develop and implement user research plans to derive impactful insights and evaluate outcomes.
• Utilize a variety of user research methodologies and broader research techniques.
• Engage and map diverse stakeholder groups effectively.
• Conduct research with high ethical standards, ensuring participant privacy.
• Recruit diverse research participants through innovative approaches to inclusive research.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to formulate hypotheses and test concepts, shaping new products and services.
• Manage remote and face-to-face usability testing throughout agile development cycles.
• Lead data analysis and synthesis efforts, presenting concise, engaging insights to influence stakeholder decisions.
• Define key metrics for evaluating product and service impact and guide ongoing improvements.
• Coach teams and stakeholders on user research methods, analysis, and presentation of findings.
• Create clear artifacts such as personas, journey maps, and user stories to communicate user and business requirements.
• Work closely with agile teams and stakeholders to co-design solutions aligning with user needs.
• Champion usability, accessibility, and inclusivity standards across products and services.
• Apply knowledge of the Government Service Standard (desirable).
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels through strong verbal, written, and facilitation skills.
• Possess technical literacy to grasp high-level technical processes and constraints.
• Operate within project limitations while supporting value-driven delivery.
• Contribute to internal culture, tooling, processes, and organizational growth.
