Yard Supervisor

About the Role

Manley Timber Frame is seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor for its Duleek location to efficiently manage yard operations within the timber frame or modular construction sector. This leadership position involves overseeing all yard activities to support seamless production and delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily yard operations, including logistics and coordination of timber frame deliveries to construction sites to ensure timely arrivals.
• Perform hands-on manual tasks necessary to maintain yard function.
• Collaborate with production departments to align schedules and meet project deadlines effectively.
• Supervise loading and unloading activities and ensure equipment maintenance, scheduling routine checks to guarantee optimal performance.
• Maintain inventory by conducting frequent stock counts and liaising with suppliers for timely stock replenishment.
• Uphold health and safety standards within the yard, including delivering regular safety briefings (Tool Box talks).
• Manage and lead yard staff, ensuring the facility remains well-organized and compliant with specifications and standards through regular inspections.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum five years’ experience in a comparable supervisory role within construction or timber-related industries.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively within teams and meet strict deadlines.
• Proficient in communication, both oral and written, coupled with excellent organizational capabilities.
• Competent in numeracy and computer usage vital for inventory management and operational tracking.
• Demonstrated knowledge in implementing and promoting workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
