Internship Overview
This internship offers hands-on experience in accounting within a socially-driven enterprise. You will contribute to maintaining financial accuracy and supporting accounting operations at FarmDidi, an organization dedicated to empowering rural women entrepreneurs.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily bookkeeping entries such as purchases, sales, expenses, and journal vouchers utilizing Tally or equivalent accounting software.
- Manage accounts payable by validating vendor invoices against purchase orders and facilitating prompt payments.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable, specifically marketplace payments from Amazon and Flipkart, identifying any inconsistencies.
- Prepare monthly GST documentation including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, coordinate with Chartered Accountants, and ensure accurate purchase record matching.
- Conduct bank reconciliation statements to verify ledger consistency with bank transactions.
- Organize financial paperwork including bills, invoices, delivery challans, and e-way bills to maintain audit preparedness.
- Handle petty cash procedures, tracking daily expenditures and preparing summaries of cash flows.
- Generate monthly management information system (MIS) reports detailing expenses, vendor liabilities, and cash status.
- Liaise with procurement and operations to confirm goods receipt notes against invoices and resolve billing issues.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be available for a full-time, onsite internship in Pune, India, with immediate start possible between July 30 and September 3, 2026.
- Should be able to commit to a 3-month duration.
- Possess relevant skills and enthusiasm for accounting.
- Preferred educational background includes degrees in commerce, business administration, supply chain, e-commerce, accounting, or related fields.
- Fresh graduates or those with prior internship or experience in accounting fields are favored.
- Good communication abilities and foundational industry knowledge are advantageous.
- Candidate should currently reside in Pune or be willing to relocate there.
Compensation and Benefits
- The stipend ranges from ₹5001 to ₹10,002 per month, combined with an incentive component of ₹1 to ₹2 monthly.
- Certificate of internship completion and a letter of recommendation will be provided upon successful completion.
