Role Overview
This position requires a highly skilled AS400 developer capable of working independently as well as leading and mentoring team members. The individual will be responsible for managing project timelines and delivering defect-free, high-quality code compliant with coding standards in the retail industry.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead AS400 development initiatives and take ownership of project execution.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and mentor junior members of the team.
- Manage deliverables ensuring timelines are met with zero defects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the development team.
Experience and Skills Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years total professional experience with at least 4 years in AS400 development.
- Strong expertise in AS400 technologies including CLP, CLLE, RPG, RPGLE, and SQL is mandatory.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities alongside effective communication skills.
- Experience in AS400 production support and troubleshooting is preferred.
- Skills in review and defect prevention are desirable.
- Possession of relevant certifications in AS400 technologies is advantageous.
