Assistant / Operation & Supply Chain Manager

Job Overview

The Assistant / Operation & Supply Chain Manager will oversee end-to-end daily operations spanning procurement, inventory, warehousing, billing, and logistics. The role involves optimizing inventory management to balance availability with costs and reducing excess or obsolete stock. Key tasks include preparing detailed monthly inventory analyses and driving process improvements through automation and ERP upgrades. This position champions the development and enforcement of standardized operational policies and SOPs across regional subsidiaries to ensure uniform compliance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of procurement, order fulfillment, billing, inventory, warehousing, and logistics functions.
• Ensure on-time procurement and delivery while upholding superior service standards.
• Devise and implement inventory strategies aimed at optimizing stock availability and minimizing excess, aging, obsolescence, write-offs, and holding costs.
• Prepare monthly inventory performance reports analyzing aging stock, slow-moving items, and turnover rates, offering actionable recommendations.
• Lead initiatives to improve processes, introduce automation, and enhance ERP/system capabilities for increased efficiency and scalability.
• Develop, deploy, and standardize operational policies and best practices across regional units, ensuring consistency and compliance.
• Support company-wide initiatives and monitor their adoption across regional offices, identifying opportunities for ongoing improvements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Regulatory, and Customer Service teams to enhance operational outcomes and customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with Finance for resolving billing issues and boosting collection processes.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.
• Lead internal and external audits, including Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and Good Distribution Practice for Medical Devices (GDPMDS) standards.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the Operations & Supply Chain team fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
• Set department goals, track performance indicators, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
• Promote a customer-centric mindset and continuous improvement ethos within the team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
• Have 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in operations, supply chain, procurement, inventory management, or logistics, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience in the medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or distribution sectors is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and exposure to operational process improvement projects.
• Strong advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience leveraging AI tools and digital technologies to enhance productivity, reporting, or operational workflows is considered a plus.
