Role Overview
The Assistant Operations Manager (Unit Head - Business Operations) plays a strategic leadership role within the hospital with direct accountability to management for specific deliverables. This role entails designing, managing, and overseeing smooth daily operations while implementing best practices in hospital administration. Responsibilities include developing patient care, overseeing administrative services, governance policies, and standard operating procedures, and collaborating with the Medical Director and consultants to evaluate clinical programs. The position ensures delivery of reliable healthcare services, competitive offerings, cost-efficient operations, comprehensive support services, and overall hospital administration. Additionally, the role is responsible for operating profit and loss management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Advanced degree such as MBA in Hospital Management or Hospital Administration.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Proven experience managing hospital administration and operational functions.
- Excellent communication and writing capabilities.
- Mandatory 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in hospital operations.
- Skilled in managing VIP and VVIP protocols.
- Effective mentoring, coaching, and presentation aptitude.
- Capability to resolve conflicts involving staff and patients efficiently.
