Back End Developer - C# and Azure SQL Server

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled C# Backend and Database Developer to architect, develop, and enhance backend services and database solutions. This role requires expertise in C#, the .NET ecosystem, RESTful services, and Azure SQL Server to support scalable enterprise applications.

Key Job Functions

• Create, maintain, and improve backend applications and shared libraries utilizing C# and .NET frameworks.
• Design and develop secure, scalable REST APIs and associated service layers.
• Build and optimize Azure SQL Server databases, including schema design and query tuning for enhanced performance.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in production environments through code auditing, logging, and database diagnostics.
• Modernize legacy applications ensuring system stability and backward compatibility.
• Develop reusable software components following best coding standards for maintainability.
• Deploy and oversee applications hosted on Azure App Service platforms.
• Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure delivery of reliable, high-quality software.
• Engage in code reviews, facilitate release processes, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Assist in platform modernization initiatives and technology refresh projects.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in C# and .NET backend software development.
• Strong proficiency with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and current .NET frameworks.
• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Expertise in Azure SQL Server management, T-SQL programming, database schema design, and query performance optimizations.
• Experience in debugging and tuning backend application performance.
• Proven skills with Azure App Service deployment and maintenance.
• Competence in version control systems (Git), conducting code reviews, and managing software releases.
• Thorough understanding of backend system architecture, API integration, and database-driven solutions.
• Capability to independently tackle complex development issues and lead modernization projects.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with authentication protocols such as OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and IdentityServer.
• Exposure to enterprise-class or mission-critical software environments.
• Experience in application modernization and upgrading to newer .NET versions.
• Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and the broader Azure ecosystem is advantageous.
