Role Overview

The Business Analyst will join BTG Pactual’s Technology team within the IT Global Asset Management division based in London. This position involves collaborating with global teams and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions firm-wide. Key focus areas include system implementation, configuration, reporting, controls, and ongoing support for both in-house and third-party platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Compliance team to generate regulatory reports that ensure adherence to compliance mandates.
• Gather and translate requirements using diverse techniques into detailed specifications.
• Analyze and reconcile data from multiple sources, resolving conflicts and presenting options to business sponsors.
• Serve as liaison between business sponsors and software development teams or external vendors.
• Maintain proactive communication with business units about project progress and timelines.
• Design and document controls necessary for maintaining implemented solutions.
• Plan project phases including implementation, go-live, and ongoing maintenance support.
• Supervise or personally manage deployments of solutions into live environments.
• Develop user manuals and documentation for implemented applications and processes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical skill set with deep understanding of financial products and adherence to firm-wide standards.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial instruments such as CDS, IRS, fixed income, equities and derivatives, ETD, commodities, and FX.
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries with familiarity in Oracle and SQL Server databases.
• Experience with XSLT for XML file configurations and mapping maintenance for data feeds.
• Background in coordinating, managing, and planning application release cycles in live trading environments.
• Knowledge of Bloomberg SAPI/Data License and DAPI, real-time messaging systems, and VBA macros within Excel.
• Excellent communication, consultative abilities, and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and ability to prioritize under pressure.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision while handling sensitive and confidential information discreetly.
