Position Overview
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for generating new business by engaging potential clients through various channels including cold calls, warm referrals, and self-sourced leads. This role requires managing and expanding an individual sales pipeline and nurturing client relationships from initial contact through to closing deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify key decision-makers within potential client organizations actively.
- Drive sales conversations via telephone and virtual meetings using Microsoft Teams.
- Conduct live product demonstrations online.
- Create positive initial interactions, maintain and nurture prospect relationships, and assess client needs.
- Maintain continuous communication during the sales process to ensure the company remains a preferred choice.
- Promote Motia's brand, solutions, and partner offerings effectively.
- Organize and participate in client review meetings and respond promptly to inquiries.
- Identify and secure new client accounts to enhance business expansion.
- Consistently update the sales pipeline with outcomes for both successful and lost opportunities.
- Prepare tailored proposals for prospective customers.
- Keep abreast of competitor activity to sustain a competitive advantage.
- Provide detailed performance and lost opportunity reports, both written and oral.
- Focus on maximizing revenue, profit margins, and overall business results.
- Boost sales across all product lines including Telematics, Landline, Mobile, and IoT solutions.
- Aim to achieve or surpass assigned key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Design and implement PR and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the New Product Development, technical, and operational teams for product launches and ongoing enhancements.
- Work with the customer support team to ensure excellent client experiences.
- Carry out additional reasonable tasks as delegated by management.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven extensive experience in business development within a similar telesales or tele-based business development role.
- Expertise in diverse sales approaches to stimulate business growth.
- Consistent achievement of sales targets and key performance metrics.
- Excellent presentation, selling, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
- Strong analytical skills with the capability to quickly diagnose issues and recommend or implement solutions.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A determined and practical mindset oriented toward meeting tight deadlines and achieving targets.
- Outstanding communication skills with a track record of establishing and sustaining customer relationships.
- Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Resilient and proactive, able to excel in fast-paced, target-focused environments.
