Role overview

This is a remote contract opportunity for a Business Intelligence Consultant focused on using advanced Excel capabilities to organize, analyze, and present data that supports AI model training and business decision-making. The assignment calls for someone who can work independently, communicate clearly, and turn complex business questions into practical data outputs.

Compensation and schedule

The pay range for this assignment is $40 to $50 per hour. The expected commitment is 10 to 40 hours per week, and the work can be performed remotely from Canada.

Responsibilities

Use advanced Excel techniques to structure, analyze, and present data for AI model training.
Work with the client’s team to deliver business intelligence outputs and recommendations.
Prepare, refine, and verify large datasets so the information remains accurate for AI use.
Build and maintain BI workflows, documenting them clearly in writing and through discussion.
Convert business questions into data-driven insights that can improve model performance.
Develop reports, dashboards, and visual visualizations in Excel to support AI training efforts.

Requirements

Relevant hands-on experience in business intelligence or analytics, with a strong Excel focus.
Deep proficiency in advanced Excel functions and tools such as Power Query, PivotTables, VBA, and data modeling.
Strong written and spoken communication skills for explaining technical findings to different audiences.
Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision while managing time and deliverables effectively.
Good understanding of business operations and the ability to convert business needs into technical solutions.
Experience handling the cleaning, preparation, and validation of large datasets for analytics or AI training.
