Role Overview

Join our café team as a dedicated Cafe Team Member where each day starts with brewing tea and opening our lively café doors. This role involves a blend of light cooking, engaging with customers, and delivering excellent service that guarantees satisfaction. You'll prepare and serve menu items while strictly adhering to quality and safety standards. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness of kitchen tools, equipment, and customer areas forms a core part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and organize kitchen equipment and utensils consistently.
• Serve customers promptly, efficiently, and courteously.
• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards and keep accurate daily logs.
• Implement first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to ensure freshness.
• Accept deliveries and ensure secure storage of food items.
• Adhere to all operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food items according to our café’s menu.
• Maintain food availability and quality standards at all times.
• Be thoroughly familiar with the café’s menu and serve items as intended.
• Address customer issues, escalating to the Café Manager when necessary.
• Stay informed on business communications and new initiatives.
• Clear and sanitize tables to keep the café environment clean.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old to be considered. New team members are guaranteed a minimum of 8 working hours weekly. Shifts will be scheduled based on availability within specified windows, with a notice period of three weeks.
