Cashier

Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and friendly Cashier to join our team at a Petro-Canada location in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. This role requires you to be present at the physical store as remote work is not an option.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register accurately.
• Handle payments via cash, cheques, and credit/debit cards.
• Scan items for customers efficiently.
• Collect payments for goods or services.
• Calculate daily payments and reconcile totals with sales figures.
• Engage in suggestive selling to enhance customer purchases.
• Restock shelves and maintain cleanliness of the counter area.
• Greet and assist customers courteously.
• Wrap or bag merchandise appropriately.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Monitor store entrances and exits, requesting proof of payment as needed.
• Participate actively in promotional campaigns.
• Verify customer age when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.

Candidate Requirements

• Fluent in English.
• Completion of secondary (high) school education.
• No prior experience required as training will be provided.
