About the Role
Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Company is looking for a skilled and experienced Chemical Lab Supervisor to lead its Quality Department's chemical testing operations. This role involves supervising the chemical analysis of metals and materials used in casting and forging, guaranteeing accurate test outcomes that uphold production quality and meet client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and calibrate laboratory equipment to maintain precision and dependability.
- Ensure the laboratory complies with safety standards and regularly train staff accordingly.
- Conduct chemical composition analyses employing techniques such as Optical Emission Spectrometry (OES), X-ray Fluorescence (XRF), and Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP).
- Prepare material samples and verify the accuracy and thoroughness of test results.
- Confirm that material chemistry aligns with production requirements throughout manufacturing.
- Perform tests relevant to customer criteria and accreditation body guidelines.
- Compile detailed test reports and oversee laboratory data management.
- Investigate product quality concerns and recommend corrective strategies.
- Supervise laboratory personnel by delegating assignments and monitoring performance.
- Provide training to new hires and interns on lab processes and quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Chemistry, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 10 years of practical experience in the metals sector or quality control environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing laboratory operations and handling analytical instrumentation.
- Skilled in operating OES, ICP, XRF, and similar chemical analysis devices.
- Knowledge of quality standards like ISO and ASTM; experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 certifications is beneficial.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good communication skills supporting effective teamwork.
- Proficient in technical report writing and comprehension of English technical documents.
