Overview
Our client is a prominent lower middle-market engineered manufacturing company with several locations across North America. They serve a wide variety of industry sectors including Aerospace & Defense and Industrial markets, providing advanced manufacturing solutions focused on highly engineered and complex designs. The operation is a custom job shop with a motivated workforce eager to learn and grow. The primary objective for this leadership role is to drive operational excellence, enhance cross-functional performance, and embed a data-driven, KPI-centric culture throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
The incoming Chief Operating Officer will lead strategic growth efforts, including mergers and acquisitions, and bring a strong background in middle-market manufacturing. The role demands expertise in streamlining processes and instituting best practices within custom production environments. While experience in electro-mechanical production is valuable, candidates with backgrounds in plastics, electronics, metalworking, or cleantech manufacturing are also encouraged to apply. This position requires a people-centric leadership style with high emotional intelligence to guide an entrepreneurial, founder-led team through a transition toward professionalized management.
The COO will spearhead transformative operational initiatives, overseeing sales, engineering, production, and supply chain management functions. As a key executive member closely collaborating with the CEO and the Board, this role offers the chance to significantly shape the company’s future during an exciting phase of organic and acquisition-driven expansion.
