Terracotta Outsourcing is engaged in accelerating business expansion in the recruitment, outsourcing, and corporate services sectors. We are recruiting for a reputable construction and infrastructure client based in Abu Dhabi to fill the role of Commercial & Contracts Manager. This position offers a significant leadership opportunity to manage the commercial and contractual aspects of substantial construction projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee all commercial and contract-related functions across multiple construction and infrastructure projects.
• Manage contract administration from start to completion ensuring adherence to FIDIC guidelines and contractual commitments.
• Handle variations, Extension of Time claims, commercial claims, and dispute resolution processes.
• Execute cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and Cost Value Reconciliations.
• Prepare, evaluate, negotiate, and finalize interim payment requests, certifications, and project final accounts.
• Lead procurement and commercial assessment of subcontractors, including negotiations and contract administration.
• Identify and manage commercial risks actively to safeguard project profitability.
• Produce commercial forecasts and reports for senior leadership.
• Advise project teams on commercial issues throughout project delivery.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to Quantity Surveyors and the wider commercial team.

Experience and Qualifications Required

• A bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an allied field.
• At least 15 years of progressive experience in commercial and contracts management within construction, infrastructure, or landscaping sectors.
• Prior working experience within the UAE or wider GCC region is mandatory.
• Has worked with main contractors or engineering consultancies.
• Strong foundational background in Quantity Surveying with advancement into Commercial Management roles.
• Extensive experience with FIDIC contract administration.
• Proven expertise in commercial management, contract oversight, cost control, claims handling, EOT, final accounts, procurement, and subcontract management.
• Experience leading commercial or Quantity Surveying teams.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Preferred Project Experience and Professional Credentials

• Hands-on experience in substantial projects involving infrastructure, roads, utilities, civil engineering, mixed-use, residential, and commercial developments.
• Membership in professional bodies such as RICS, MRICS, CIArb, or affiliations with FIDIC are considered a plus.
