Overview
The Corporate Recruiter is a pivotal contributor to the talent acquisition team at First Student, responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment processes and cultivating future talent pools. Reporting directly to the Manager of Corporate Talent Acquisition & Candidate Experience, the role demands close collaboration with leadership to ensure recruitment activities align with organizational needs and hiring strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify talent requirements and craft effective recruiting strategies.
- Align recruitment efforts with the company's goals and priorities to support business objectives.
- Work closely with the talent acquisition team to implement recruitment initiatives.
- Actively source candidates through networking, passive outreach, and online research techniques.
- Comply with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Affirmative Action, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other relevant hiring legislation.
- Adhere to established hiring protocols to ensure process consistency and regulatory compliance.
- Contribute suggestions to enhance hiring processes, improving both efficiency and the candidate experience.
- Utilize the Workday system to track applicant progress and maintain comprehensive candidate records.
- Provide regular recruitment updates and analytical insights to the Corporate Talent Acquisition Manager.
- Meet recruitment targets and deadlines with full accountability.
- Assist in the development and execution of initiatives aimed at improving candidate engagement and experience.
- Collect and analyze candidate feedback to refine recruitment methods.
- Support employer branding by engaging proactively with candidates and external talent networks.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in talent sourcing and acquisition.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent recruiting experience is also acceptable.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in recruiting, with preferred backgrounds including corporate, agency, campus, or military recruitment.
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated skill in identifying and building relationships with active and passive candidates.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities to collaborate with hiring managers and internal teams effectively.
- Strong organizational prowess and the ability to juggle multiple recruitment assignments efficiently.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Compensation
The salary for this position ranges between $65,000 and $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
