About the role
4Creatives is looking for a Creative Director to lead a fully remote production team for a D2C creative agency. The role sits at the center of communication between clients and the internal team and focuses on making sure high-performing creatives and funnels are delivered every week for major German e-commerce brands such as Alpensattel, bedrop, HealthRoutine, and others.
You would be responsible for guiding a small team as if it were your own business, balancing day-to-day operations with strategic oversight. The position offers flexibility in how you organize your time, while still requiring clear ownership of delivery, team leadership, and client communication.
What you'll do
- Make sure the production team consistently delivers end-to-end each week, and step in when someone is unavailable.
- Keep the team aligned with operational performance targets and support them in meeting those goals.
- Brief Creative Strategists, give feedback on scripts and strategy, and provide direction for new clients and onboarding.
- Serve as the main contact for clients in Slack and lead recurring client calls.
- Act as the escalation point for cutters, content managers, and production assistants when they cannot resolve issues with their direct contacts.
- Monitor team capacity, identify when limits are being reached, and take ownership of hiring and onboarding new team members.
- Improve processes, projects, team development, and training on an ongoing basis.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in performance creative, creative strategy, or paid social, ideally in a D2C agency or an e-commerce brand.
- Strong understanding of direct response ads and funnels, including the ability to write copy and judge what makes creatives and funnels effective.
- Solid operational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and team workloads at the same time.
- Leadership ability without ego, with a focus on guiding the team instead of doing everything personally.
- Self-driven and highly independent, with the motivation to shape work proactively and continuously improve.
- Client-focused communication skills that are clear, professional, and solution-oriented.
- Team spirit and a good sense of humor, with a collaborative attitude and a strong performance mindset.
