About the Role
We are currently looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our Investment Banking Reporting team based in New York City. The position involves supporting data migration, reconciliation, and providing reporting assistance. The candidate will help transition reporting mechanisms from outdated platforms to modern environments while maintaining data integrity and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and comprehend complex datasets to support business reporting needs.
- Utilize BI analytics tools (such as Power BI, Cognos) for reporting and data visualization.
- Manage data migration projects and perform thorough reconciliation tasks for accuracy.
- Develop and validate SQL queries to ensure data correctness.
- Participate in automation initiatives to improve processes and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and adopt a proactive work approach.
Requirements
- Experience with migrating data and reporting from legacy systems to modern platforms.
- Strong focus on ensuring data quality through reconciliation activities.
- Support the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports.
- Drive process improvements through automation and operational enhancements.
- Prior work experience within the Investment Banking or Financial Services sectors is essential.
Additional Information
This is a contract position located in New York City with a hybrid working arrangement. Candidates with H1B visa requirements will not be considered.
