Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced APS6 Data Analyst to join a Federal Government agency committed to developing impactful data solutions that enhance critical national services.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain enterprise-level data assets and products.
- Conduct thorough profiling, analysis, and validation of complex datasets sourced from multiple systems.
- Convert business requirements into effective coded data transformations.
- Create prototypes and innovative data products to support organizational objectives.
- Carry out data quality evaluations, testing procedures, and rectify defects.
- Communicate technical ideas and results clearly to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Promote code quality, maintain documentation standards, and share knowledge within the team.
- Mentor junior members and actively participate in collaborative problem-solving efforts.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience analyzing large and complex datasets.
- Proficiency in SQL and strong programming skills in Python, SAS, or R.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environments.
- Expertise in data modelling, creation of data pipelines, and architecture of reporting platforms.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical implementations.
- Capability to work autonomously, prioritize competing tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Skill in building and maintaining relationships with diverse business and technical stakeholders.
Additional Desirable Skills
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake.
- Knowledge of SAS Viya.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
- Openness to adopting new analytics tools and emerging technologies.
