Deli Bakery Team Associate

Position Overview

The Deli Bakery Team Associate role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service by upholding Walmart's fundamental principles and values. This position involves maintaining and organizing the Bakery and/or Deli sections, assisting with stock management, and supporting the sales process.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain organization within the department by zoning shelves, tables, and storage areas ensuring products are correctly placed.
• Manage inventory by rotating stock and verifying for expired goods.
• Ensure all merchandise has appropriate signage and pricing.
• Comply with food safety standards including cold chain processes, thermometer calibrations, temperature logging, proper food handling, stock rotation, and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates.
• Take and prepare customer orders for deli items, including hot food products, providing excellent customer assistance.
• Utilize utensils to prepare deli orders, cook chicken using a rotisserie oven, and replenish prepared sides for display.
• Follow thawing and baking procedures accurately to prepare bakery goods like bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls, ensuring product quality and presentation.
• Execute procedures related to ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, as well as proper signing, pricing, and labeling.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.

• Starting hourly wage is $18.05.
