Overview
Canada's Wonderland is seeking a Digital Content Coordinator to join their marketing team on a contract basis. This role offers an hourly wage of 23 CAD and requires full-time availability throughout the contract period. The primary focus is to craft and distribute multimedia storytelling content across various digital platforms, including social media, website, mobile applications, email marketing, and earned media channels, engaging a broad audience effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and produce video and photographic content by writing, shooting, and editing, along with designing static visuals for platforms such as social media, websites, posters, and newsletters.
- Work collaboratively with internal park departments to identify potential story ideas and opportunities.
- Handle all phases of multimedia content production: from concept creation and brainstorming to scripting, filming, editing (both picture and sound), and revising content as needed.
- Complete post-production tasks including color correction, audio mixing, and ensuring digital readiness to meet deadlines.
- Capture photographs and videos during park events.
- Support the writing and editing of blog posts.
- Design printed materials, including posters.
- Manage media equipment and resources required for content creation.
- Oversee digital asset management for video and other multimedia files.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- At minimum, be a college junior or senior majoring in marketing, communications, public relations, film studies, video production, or related fields emphasizing storytelling and multimedia creation.
- Demonstrated experience in video production including filming and editing.
- Proficiency with camera equipment such as GoPros and DSLR cameras; drone experience is advantageous.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite software, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects.
- Strong enthusiasm and aptitude for interactive multimedia storytelling, adept at effectively presenting both new and archival content.
- Excellent skills in broadcast and multimedia writing.
- Good musical and audio awareness.
- Detail-focused with a commitment to maintaining high standards during production, editing, and final delivery stages.
- High energy and ability to meet demanding deadlines.
- Willingness to adopt new production technologies.
- Interest in the amusement park industry is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively and professionally with both the public and management.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary to support business operations.
- A portfolio showcasing recent creative projects is required.
