Job Overview
This position involves supporting editorial quality assurance and overseeing the integrity of digital content during its migration into a Content Management System (CMS). The specialist will meticulously compare the uploaded content against original source materials, ensuring accuracy, completeness, consistent formatting, and alignment with editorial standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Proofread and validate all digital content for quality and adherence to standards.
- Confirm the accuracy of citations, references, and maintain proper numbering and hierarchical structures.
- Incorporate feedback from subject matter experts and relevant stakeholders into content revisions.
- Contribute to AI-aided content projects by fitting materials into predefined templates and assessing AI-generated content for consistency and quality.
- Complete editorial QA checklists and maintain thorough documentation.
- Support multiple content processes to ensure all deliverables meet high quality and editorial guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years’ experience in professional editing or a related field.
- Proven skills in proofreading, editing, and performing quality reviews on digital or editorial materials.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to rigorously follow established workflows, procedures, and checklists.
- Familiarity with citation and reference formatting, numbering protocols, and content hierarchy standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Capacity to quickly learn and effectively use Content Management Systems.
- Knowledge of or readiness to engage with AI tools to assist content workflows.
- Strong organizational abilities with skill in balancing multiple priorities effectively.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers hourly pay ranging from $23 to $25, with final salary determined based on qualifications, experience, and educational background. Employees receive a comprehensive benefits package from the first day of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to participate in the 401(k) retirement plan commences after 90 days. Additionally, paid sick leave and other legally mandated paid time off benefits are provided in accordance with local worksite laws.
