Draftsperson

About the Role

Campbell Property Group (CPG), a leader in Australian residential construction and property development, is recruiting a proficient Draftsperson to join the Clarendon Homes team based in Norwest. This role is vital for visually capturing and converting client visions into compliant tender, contract, and construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret sales documentation and variations, translating these accurately into detailed drawings
• Produce tender plans, including site plans, floor layouts, and external elevations
• Prepare comprehensive contract plan sets for construction
• Draw contract variations and complete lodgement paperwork
• Create construction plans aligned with contract and post-contract variation policies
• Supply clear documentation to the Estimating team
• Assess site conditions ensuring compliance with authorities, regulations, and Clarendon/Domaine variation policies
• Coordinate and incorporate requirements from reports on flood zones, bushfire, BASIX, hydraulics, and landscaping as required
• Analyze and comply with Authority Guidelines such as 88B, 10.7 and collaborate with sales for design compliance
• Optimize siting based on customer preferences and ensure alignment with CPG construction techniques
• Verify structural designs from external engineers conform to Australian Standards and NCC regulations
• Implement and maintain quality assurance processes per Platinum Global standards
• Consolidate variations through rigorous quality assurance before construction commencement
• Respond promptly to Requests for Information (RFIs) from certifiers
• Work alongside Permits team to order essential reports

Candidate Profile

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and excellent communicator
• Strong adherence to compliance and ability to collaborate across departments effectively
• Experience managing tasks under pressure to ensure successful project delivery

Required Experience and Knowledge

• Previous drafting experience within project home building sectors
• Skilled in developing working drawings for volume home builders or residential construction firms
• Understanding of Council/CDC processes
• Familiarity with Authority Guidelines including 88B, 10.7, and DCP
• Proficient in using REVIT software
• Good knowledge of building structures and services
