Estimator / Cost Controller / Planner

Role Overview

ABU ALNAGA CONTRACTING is seeking an experienced Estimator, Cost Controller, and Planner to support building construction work. The position covers the complete lifecycle of estimation, budgeting, cost management, and planning for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

Core Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for building construction projects.
• Examine drawings, technical specifications, and tender packs to understand project scope.
• Carry out rate studies and gather quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Track project expenditures and produce monthly cost updates along with forecasts.
• Record variations and change orders, and assist with claims preparation and follow-up.
• Create and revise project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Follow site progress and prepare weekly and monthly status reports.
• Work closely with site, procurement, and project teams to keep cost and schedule aligned.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management is required.
• Prior experience in building construction projects is essential, with GCC or UAE exposure preferred.
• Strong command of estimation, cost control, and planning tools is expected.
• Working knowledge of Excel, MS Project, Primavera P6, and basic AutoCAD is needed.
• Good analytical ability and clear communication skills are important for this role.
