Excel Specialist

Job Overview

This contract role as an Excel Specialist is fully remote and involves designing challenging and realistic business scenarios that leverage advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. You will simulate complex document-related tasks drawn from your professional experience, engaging in multi-turn interactions with a large language model (LLM) to produce and assess AI-generated business outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and model sophisticated Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and Word documents that mirror real-world professional usage.
• Engage in detailed dialogue sessions with AI systems, providing complex prompts and evaluating the AI's document outputs against professional benchmarks.
• Review pairs of AI-generated Office documents to determine which best meets business standards, documenting your preferences systematically.
• Provide comprehensive feedback to guide improvements in AI models, emphasizing accuracy, quality, and applicability to business use cases.
• Apply your deep domain knowledge across various industries and job functions to ensure the breadth and relevance of use cases collected for training AI.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to deliver clear, well-considered feedback to the AI training team.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least three years of professional experience working with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word in high-impact projects within Fortune 500 companies.
• Proven ability to construct complex models, reports, and presentations in sectors such as finance, healthcare, technology, consulting, or retail.
• Prior roles might include positions like private equity associate, investment banking analyst, junior consultant, FP&A analyst, HR specialist, or marketing strategist with direct involvement in deal or project execution.
• Capability to develop use cases reflecting corporate functions like strategy, operations, sales, marketing, finance, or human resources.
• Superior written and oral communication abilities, marked by precision and clarity in delivering constructive feedback.
• Experience crafting prompts for AI tools or interacting with large language models is highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills to discern subtle differences in document quality relevant to business needs.
