Role Overview
The Executive Assistant will join the newly formed Office of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) during a pivotal time. This critical position supports the COO by optimizing the management of their time and workload to maximize benefits for the Trust. The postholder serves as a vital conduit, enabling the COO's effective operation across the organization and with external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clear understanding of the COO's strategic priorities to anticipate their needs proactively.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for the COO, handling communications with internal and external visitors, including patients.
- Manage stakeholder engagement at senior levels, upholding and safeguarding the Trust's reputation at all times.
- Deliver superior secretarial and administrative support, exercising discretion, initiative, and independent judgment to manage priorities and coordinate complex tasks.
- Collaborate closely with the Business Manager to the COO to maximize efficient use of the COO’s time.
- Foster strong working relationships across all levels of the Trust and with key external partners.
- Confidently influence and challenge information or explanations provided by experts where necessary.
