Job Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking a seasoned Executive EHS professional with over 5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector. This role entails overseeing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage compliance related to EHS regulations including EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility).
- Operate and monitor Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) processes effectively.
- Ensure compliance with guidelines from GPCB (Gujarat Pollution Control Board) and CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board).
- Monitor and enforce adherence to the Factory Act and ISO certifications such as ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
- Oversee issuance and management of work permits related to safety and operations.
- Conduct regular safety audits to maintain high safety standards within the manufacturing facility.
- Maintain Management Information System (MIS) reporting related to EHS operations.
- Provide necessary training sessions and ensure use of appropriate safety equipment among personnel.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.), or a B.Sc. in Chemistry or Electronics.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Familiarity with Factory Act, environmental laws, and EHS Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Experience with ETP operation, work permits, and regulatory bodies such as GPCB and CPCB.
- Strong capabilities in safety audits, MIS reporting, and staff training.
