About Kepak Group

The Kepak St. Merryn facility in Merthyr Tydfil combines beef and lamb processing and packaging capabilities, offering a range of premium beef and lamb items from retail-ready cuts to branded packaged products. Their livestock is pasture-raised, locally sourced, and carefully selected by expert butchers to ensure superior quality and integrity.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Export Controller to join our dynamic Logistics team at Kepak Merthyr Tydfil. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary with working hours Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with required flexibility including occasional evenings.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the entire supply chain process related to exports, ensuring punctual deliveries.
- Collaborate closely with customers, freight forwarders, internal teams, and regulatory bodies to guarantee smooth export operations compliant with company policies.
- Act as the primary liaison with export control authorities and provide expert advice on export compliance.
- Continuously monitor, audit, and enhance export procedures and internal guidelines to ensure adherence to relevant legislation.
- Prepare and control all necessary export documentation, coordinating with internal departments and third-party transporters for both European and global shipments.
- Support internal Stock Control and Logistics Administrators as needed.
Key Duties
- Ensure strict compliance with export procedures and controls.
- Accurately complete documentation tailored to customer and country-specific requirements.
- Process shipments destined for international customers.
- Maintain control over export documents and coordinate with external cold storage facilities.
- Work with external veterinary service providers to certify exports.
- Liaise with both internal and external transport departments and sales teams.
- Manage export-related costs effectively.
- Collaborate with Despatch and Intakes teams to streamline operations.
- Handle administrative tasks and provide input for Key Performance Indicators.
- Set up customer orders within the internal system and perform ad hoc duties as required.
