Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Export Controller to join our dynamic Logistics team at Kepak Merthyr Tydfil. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary with working hours Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with required flexibility including occasional evenings.

Main Responsibilities

Manage the entire supply chain process related to exports, ensuring punctual deliveries.
Collaborate closely with customers, freight forwarders, internal teams, and regulatory bodies to guarantee smooth export operations compliant with company policies.
Act as the primary liaison with export control authorities and provide expert advice on export compliance.
Continuously monitor, audit, and enhance export procedures and internal guidelines to ensure adherence to relevant legislation.
Prepare and control all necessary export documentation, coordinating with internal departments and third-party transporters for both European and global shipments.
Support internal Stock Control and Logistics Administrators as needed.

Key Duties

Ensure strict compliance with export procedures and controls.
Accurately complete documentation tailored to customer and country-specific requirements.
Process shipments destined for international customers.
Maintain control over export documents and coordinate with external cold storage facilities.
Work with external veterinary service providers to certify exports.
Liaise with both internal and external transport departments and sales teams.
Manage export-related costs effectively.
Collaborate with Despatch and Intakes teams to streamline operations.
Handle administrative tasks and provide input for Key Performance Indicators.
Set up customer orders within the internal system and perform ad hoc duties as required.
