Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our construction team as a Flagger, responsible for managing traffic control within Coquitlam work zones throughout the year. Comprehensive training and guidance will be provided to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage vehicular traffic flow safely through construction zones.
• Interpret and implement traffic management plans effectively.
• Conduct field audits related to traffic management.
• Set up traffic control signs and markers following designated layouts.
• Direct traffic onsite using signs, hand gestures, and flags.
• Alert construction personnel to vehicles not following signals to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Guide drivers through detour routes within construction sites.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring punctuality and well-maintained work zones.
• Maintain organization and functionality of equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Familiarity with the Traffic Management Manual.
• Holding a valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) Certificate.
• Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions at construction sites.
• Capability to reach above shoulder height, below the waist, and lift as necessary, including weights up to 50 pounds, adhering to proper lifting techniques.
• Willingness to stand for extended periods.
