About the Role
Clera, a rapidly expanding AI marketing SaaS startup supported by Y Combinator, is seeking its inaugural engineer based in Munich. This unique founding-stage position involves close collaboration with company founders and clients to determine, develop, and continuously enhance product offerings that deliver tangible value to customers. The product integrates brand intelligence, AI-powered content generation, and autonomous workflow management to help businesses boost their presence across AI platforms.
The role spans product ideation, frontend and backend development, large language model (LLM) pipelines, and data handling, with frequent client interactions influencing product decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete product features end-to-end, transforming vague challenges into fully functional, production-ready components.
- Engage daily with founders and clients to align product development with user needs.
- Create clean and user-friendly interfaces for sophisticated workflow processes.
- Develop and refine frontend, backend, LLM pipelines, and data infrastructure continuously.
- Convert customer feedback into actionable enhancements.
- Deliver updates rapidly and persistently improve to ensure features provide measurable business benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Documented experience shipping SaaS products from concept to launch.
- Proficiency in handling full-stack responsibilities, confidently navigating from unclear problems to deployed features.
- Strong skills in TypeScript and React framework.
- Ability to design intuitive user experiences for complex tasks.
- Comfort working independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with tools and platforms like Vite, Supabase, Vercel, or ClickHouse.
- Background working with large language models and autonomous workflows both in applications and day-to-day tasks.
- Two to four years of relevant software engineering experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary ranging from 85,000 to 120,000 euros.
- Significant equity participation via VSOP as a founding engineer.

Work Location and Start Date
