Frontend Developer (Entry / Junior)

Overview

STUDIOS 45 is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Frontend Developer to join its technology team in a full-time, on-site role based in Australia. The position is suited to recent graduates and early-career developers who want to build engaging web interfaces, improve user experience, and develop their skills in modern software development.

Role Summary

You will help create responsive, polished, and easy-to-use web applications while working closely with design, backend, and product teams. The role focuses on turning visual concepts into maintainable front-end code and supporting the ongoing improvement of web products.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and update responsive websites and web applications using current front-end technologies.
• Translate UI/UX mockups into clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Improve application performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Ensure layouts and interfaces function smoothly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Connect front-end interfaces with APIs and backend systems.
• Diagnose and fix UI defects, usability issues, and performance slowdowns.
• Take part in code reviews and follow good front-end engineering practices.
• Work with designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver project goals.
• Support testing, deployment, and maintenance tasks for web applications.
• Keep up with newer tools, frameworks, and trends in front-end development.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Exposure to front-end libraries or frameworks such as React, Vue.js, Angular, or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser behavior.
• Basic familiarity with REST APIs and JSON.
• Comfort using Git or another version control system.
• UI/UX awareness is beneficial.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging ability.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• A portfolio, academic work, internships, or personal projects that show front-end ability are strongly encouraged.
