Role overview
This position is for a Google Cloud Platform developer with a strong data engineering foundation. The work centers on building and supporting data replication and streaming solutions, with hands-on use of Striim, Kafka, and related cloud data technologies.
Core responsibilities
- Apply deep working knowledge of Striim in data movement and integration scenarios.
- Use Kafka effectively for streaming and event-driven data pipelines.
- Contribute to data engineering tasks and the design of robust data workflows.
- Work with Google Cloud Platform at an advanced level.
- Handle Spanner and BigTable at an advanced level.
- Write and manage SQL as part of the solution stack.
Additional requirements
- Prior involvement in building data replication pipelines is strongly preferred.
- Experience as a GCP developer backed by solid data engineering experience is desirable.
- Exposure to data replication tools or alternatives to Striim will be an advantage.
- Candidate should be willing to work rotational shifts, including weekends.
- Must be comfortable going through three interview stages: technical, advanced, and client round.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts and configuration is important, including APIs, container lifecycle, storage, security, pods, controllers, services, load balancing, and networking.
- Working knowledge of Java/J2EE is expected.

Compensation
The role offers an annual stipend/salary range of INR 20,00,000 to INR 27,50,000.
