Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning of the grocery department to ensure customer readiness at all times.
• Perform regular product rotation and remove expired or damaged items to uphold merchandise freshness and quality.
• Ensure accurate pricing, signing, and inventory by adhering to company procedures for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, and labeling.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a hygienic work setting.
• Stock the department adequately, complete downstocking tasks, apply product protection, and set up modular displays including flexible modulars and new shelf caps.
• Follow health and safety standards to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace environment.
• Be flexible to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands.

Challenges in the Role

• Manage a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during overnight shifts.
• Maintain energy and focus by planning work hours effectively throughout each shift.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting loads up to 20 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Carry out repetitive tasks like stocking and zoning with attention to detail to maintain store standards.
