About The Company
Our client is a venture-backed AI SaaS company focused on developing operational infrastructure for home care services by deploying AI agents that automate back-office processes and the care-delivery cycle. The company experiences rapid monthly growth at 30-40% and is nearing profitability, supported by leading investors.
The Opportunity
This role represents the inaugural leadership position for the go-to-market strategy, reporting directly to the CEO. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the entire function, including building, hiring, onboarding, and mentoring a high-performance SMB sales team, while strategically managing capacity to support organizational expansion.
The position requires a hands-on player-coach who will maintain a manageable sales portfolio to model effective sales strategies. Collaboration with the GTM Engineering team will be essential to automate and scale pipeline development efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and lead a dynamic SMB sales team focused on high velocity
- Design and own the complete go-to-market strategy to maximize speed and efficiency
- Maintain a small client portfolio to demonstrate leadership by example
- Collaborate with GTM Engineering partners to enhance automation and scale pipeline creation
- Analyze sales funnel metrics and manage them to achieve consistent, forecastable results
- Plan for talent acquisition and resource allocation in line with company growth
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in establishing and managing a fast-paced SMB sales operation
- Experience in hiring, onboarding, and coaching high-performing sales personnel
- Excellent quantitative skills and a systems-oriented mindset
- Recent direct selling experience coupled with a player-coach leadership approach
- Leadership style characterized by straightforwardness, humility, and strong conviction
- Passion for leveraging AI and automation technologies within sales strategies
- Residing in or willing to relocate to New York City for on-site work
