Role Overview
The Guest Service Agent serves as the initial and final point of contact for guests, ensuring they enjoy an outstanding stay from arrival through departure.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prompt, efficient, and friendly service to guests.
- Process guest check-in and check-out in alignment with hotel protocols.
- Handle incoming telephone inquiries professionally.
- Manage special rates and billing arrangements accurately.
- Respond swiftly to guest issues to maintain high satisfaction.
- Prepare for arrivals of VIPs and loyalty program members to guarantee seamless check-ins.
- Oversee the storage, processing, and distribution of guest mails, messages, and packages.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized front desk consistent with health and safety guidelines.
- Ensure all essential front desk materials are stocked.
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards to uphold professional presentation.
- Report guest feedback to management personnel as appropriate.
- Be knowledgeable about fire and emergency protocols.
- Perform related front office duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking continuously during shifts.
- Frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting activities.
- Occasional use of ladders, stairs, and ramps.
Qualifications and Experience
- Prior experience in front desk or reception roles is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows XP is beneficial.
- Experience with Micros PMS/Opera systems is a plus.
- Proficient in English communication.
- Possessing a diploma or degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management is advantageous.
- Availability to work shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and varying hours.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada without company assistance for permits.

- Shift work may require holiday, weekend, and overnight availability.

- Hourly gross pay between 23 and 24 CAD.
