Job Overview
This role involves providing assistance to the Maintenance Mechanic by supporting various plant construction and maintenance operations under general supervision. The candidate will interpret instructions and documents to plan tasks efficiently, transport materials and equipment to designated work sites, and set up work areas properly.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Maintenance Mechanic with a range of duties pertaining to plant upkeep and construction work.
- Read and understand job instructions and related documentation to organize activities.
- Carry and position materials and equipment at required locations and prepare the work environment.
- Perform trade-specific tasks as directed to fulfill maintenance contracts.
- Maintain records related to work completed and upkeep of tools and equipment.
- Engage in cleaning and housekeeping duties to ensure orderly work sites.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment consistently.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned within plant or facility maintenance departments.
Experience and Qualifications
Typically, candidates should have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance or support roles.
Additional Information
This position may be allocated to personnel working either on project-specific assignments or in corporate building and facility maintenance settings.
