Position Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Human Resources Generalist / HR Business Partner to join a nonprofit organization based in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement with two days required on site. The role focuses on providing practical support across HR functions during a short-term contract, collaborating closely with senior HR leadership to manage essential HR operations and select talent management projects.
Key Duties
- Deliver daily operational HR support throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Manage HRIS responsibilities including payroll processing, maintaining data accuracy, and generating reports.
- Utilize Excel to prepare and analyze HR metrics and create presentations in PowerPoint.
- Contribute to talent management efforts such as performance reviews, succession planning, and developmental initiatives.
- Incorporate AI-driven tools to enhance effectiveness, provide insights, and streamline reporting where suitable.
- Assist with HR activities on an international level, bringing a global perspective where relevant.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated background as an HR Generalist and/or HR Business Partner.
- Solid experience in HR operations including direct involvement with HRIS, payroll systems, and report generation.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong skills in creating PowerPoint presentations.
- Familiarity with AI applications in HR or business settings.
- Experience using Rippling HR software is highly desirable.
- Exposure to international HR practices is an advantage.
- Capability to work autonomously in a fast-moving, short-term project environment.
