Job Overview

The Inventory Control Manager plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations by conducting compliance audits. This involves verifying data from inventory management software, Point-of-Sale systems, sales and patient reports, batch tracking, manifests, harvest records, product expiration dates, and live plant tracking. The manager compiles Audit Referral Reports to facilitate follow-up actions after audits and reports directly to the Director of Security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a courteous and compassionate approach in all interactions.
  • Uphold the company's mission, core values, ethical standards, and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with the Security Manager, staff, and stakeholders to develop and implement auditing procedures.
  • Interpret and communicate complex compliance requirements from agencies such as Fire Department, City Zoning, Department of Health, among others.
  • Ensure legal compliance by researching, auditing, and validating diverse data sources.
  • Coordinate with retail managers to verify data accuracy and adherence to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Adapt to varied work environments including offices and operational sites, engaging with different employees.
  • Use multiple software platforms and operating systems to access and update documentation.
  • Understand and apply standard operating procedures and documentation during audit and verification tasks.
  • Assist with filing work orders related to inventory control software issues.
  • Conduct daily audits across various systems including inventory control software, Point-of-Sale data, coupon usage, batch tracking, manifests, harvest records, edibles expiration, and live plant tracking.
  • Prepare Audit Referral Reports after audits to guide next steps for investigators and management.
  • Support training programs for inventory control and Point-of-Sale system users.
  • Work with retail and cultivation management to troubleshoot software and system-related problems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Experience in law enforcement, military, or security is preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in any discipline is favorable; preference for Criminal Justice education.
  • Continuous adherence to Florida Department of Health policies and company procedures.

Skills and Expertise

  • Strong computer proficiency, mathematical skills, language ability, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of medical cannabis laws, health department regulations, and HIPAA; prior medical marijuana industry experience advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and administrative capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.

Work Environment and Physical Needs

  • Comfortable working in office settings with moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Capability to work off-site at retail, manufacturing, or production venues with variable conditions, including using personal protective equipment as necessary.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Regular local travel required, sometimes on short notice.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform tasks involving sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, and reaching for long durations.
