Junior Criminal Analyst

Overview

Dynamis, Inc. is recruiting a Junior Criminal Analyst to directly support one of Homeland Security Investigations' (HSI) critical enforcement missions aimed at safeguarding the U.S. workforce through Worksite Enforcement Unit (WSEU) activities. This role involves close collaboration with HSI special agents to conduct thorough reviews of I-9 employment verification forms, corporate and payroll records, and multiple government and commercial databases. The analyst's outputs are essential to initiating Notices of Inspection, Notices of Intent to Fine, and other legally authorized enforcement proceedings.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform detailed reviews and evaluations of employer I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification forms, payroll information, corporate documents, and related employment records to identify compliance issues and potential breaches of federal immigration employment laws, working collaboratively with investigative teams.
• Utilize multiple law enforcement and commercial database systems to identify irregularities, trends, and inconsistencies that support active and ongoing worksite enforcement investigations.
• Prepare precise, clear, and defensible analytical reports and case assessments that directly contribute to enforcement activities.
• Participate in coordination efforts facilitating connections between national and international investigative initiatives and partner agencies.
• Ensure strict adherence to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) data privacy and handling protocols by maintaining well-organized case files and identifying potential breaches of employment eligibility and compliance statutes.
• Develop briefing materials and analytical documentation to support site inspections, enforcement operations, and interactions with senior agency personnel.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, law, or a closely related field.
• Between one and two years of professional experience in areas such as compliance, investigations, legal support, immigration services, or a similar discipline.
• Demonstrated strong analytical abilities and research expertise with a capacity to review and synthesize extensive documentation and data sets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary for producing high-quality analytical documents and engaging regularly with federal law enforcement stakeholders.
• Proven capacity for accurate, high-volume data entry from physical documents into electronic systems and executing database queries across law enforcement and commercial platforms to aid detailed reporting.
• Ability to secure and retain an ICE suitability determination.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience collaborating with federal law enforcement or regulatory bodies is highly valued.
• Knowledge of employment eligibility verification procedures, including compliance with Form I-9 requirements and the E-Verify system.
• Experience within HSI, ICE, or other DHS components, especially with handling sensitive or law enforcement-controlled data.
• Familiarity with government database technologies or investigative case management tools is an advantage.
