Manual QA Engineer (UK)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Manual QA Engineer to join our UK-based team to ensure the quality and functionality of our software products, particularly those involving Salesforce integration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing on new features and confirm resolution of defects.
• Execute various test types including functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
• Develop and update test cases, checklists, and related quality assurance documentation.
• Analyze software requirements and design test scenarios ahead of development completion.
• Perform REST API testing utilizing tools such as Swagger or Postman.
• Validate data integrity through SQL queries.
• Replicate reported issues and collaborate with developers to determine root causes.
• Engage in refinement sessions and support release testing activities.
• Contribute to improving testing methodologies and enhance overall test coverage.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 2 years' experience in manual quality assurance roles.
• Demonstrable experience in testing web applications, specifically with Salesforce platforms.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the software testing life cycle and test design strategies.
• Proven ability to create test-related documentation from the ground up.
• Familiarity with Jira and TestRail or comparable issue and test management systems.
• Knowledge of browser Developer Tools for diagnostic purposes.
• Proficiency in REST API testing and foundational SQL skills.
• Experience in database testing with PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Exposure to Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools.
• Basic understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong communication skills coupled with a keen eye for detail.
• English proficiency adequate for routine workplace interactions.
• Experience testing sophisticated enterprise software applications.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred)

• Introductory knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
