About the Role
Conack is seeking a seasoned M&E Coordinator to help deliver major construction projects in Cork. This position sits within a fast-expanding Irish construction business known for award-winning work across several sectors. The successful candidate will coordinate mechanical and electrical packages from design development through commissioning and handover, while collaborating with an ambitious project team.
Key Duties
- Oversee mechanical and electrical package delivery across construction projects in Cork.
- Support site teams and subcontractors in all M&E-related workstreams.
- Make sure M&E activities are completed safely, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality.
- Coordinate design-build M&E packages so they align with project goals and client expectations.
- Track programme, budget, and overall progress for M&E scopes.
- Work closely with consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams throughout the build.
- Assist with snagging, commissioning, and the final handover process.
- Organise M&E snagging lists and manage close-out actions.
- Support retentions, subcontractor close-out, and project completion activities.
- Contribute to estimating and tender review tasks when needed.
- Help identify and resolve technical or coordination challenges across projects.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or have equivalent relevant industry experience. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an M&E Coordinator or Building Services position is required. The role calls for a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in construction, along with hands-on experience managing M&E subcontractors and consultants. Familiarity with commissioning, snagging, and handover procedures is essential. Experience on electrical projects is beneficial. Strong communication and organisational ability is important, as is prior project delivery experience in Ireland.
