Overview
We are looking for an inventive Mechanical Engineer to become part of our expanding engineering team specialized in designing and developing sophisticated mechanical systems for the aerospace industry. This role offers the chance to engage throughout the entire product lifecycle, starting from concept and research through to manufacturing, testing, installation, and final commissioning.
The selected professional will play a crucial role in creating high-performance flight control and mechanical systems for both existing aviation platforms and upcoming aerospace technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in all stages of product development including design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and deployment.
- Create mechanical systems and components tailored to customer and project needs.
- Develop both conceptual and detailed engineering designs.
- Conduct experiments and analyze results to suggest design enhancements.
- Perform testing and assessment of prototype and production models.
- Identify engineering challenges and devise practical solutions.
- Evaluate product performance, safety, and reliability throughout the development process.
- Adjust and optimize designs for better functionality and manufacturability.
- Support project management by assisting in budgeting, scheduling, and defining technical scope.
- Collect feedback from manufacturing, testing, and users to drive continuous improvements.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and maintain engineering records.
- Keep updated with the latest technologies, engineering techniques, and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with CAD and CAM software.
- Proficiency in 2D and/or 3D design tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo (Pro/ENGINEER), or equivalents.
- Familiarity with engineering simulation and analysis software such as ANSYS or similar.
- Knowledge of analytical and engineering software including MATLAB, Excel, LabVIEW, or related programs.
- Solid grasp of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication skills to clearly convey technical information.
- Competent in technical report writing and documentation.
