About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Merchandising Assistant to become part of our Buying and Merchandising team. This opportunity is perfect for recent graduates or individuals with up to one year of experience seeking to build their career in retail, product strategy, inventory management, and commercial operations.

Responsibilities

Support product assortment planning and contribute to merchandising strategy development.
Track inventory quantities and assist in replenishing stock as required.
Perform sales analysis and generate detailed merchandising reports to inform decisions.
Keep product details and pricing up-to-date within company management systems.
Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure product availability and timely launches.
Assist with execution of seasonal product introductions and promotions.
Help with demand forecasting and inventory control planning.
Monitor competitive activity and analyze market trends relevant to merchandising.
Prepare presentations and related merchandising documentation as needed.
Ensure accuracy of product information across both retail outlets and online platforms.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, Commerce, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in numerical data interpretation.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
A keen interest in retail merchandising and staying abreast of consumer trends.

Preferred Experience

Experience through internships, retail roles, or customer service positions.
Working knowledge of merchandising, inventory management, or ERP systems.
Basic familiarity with retail analytics and inventory planning tools.
Exposure to data visualization or reporting platforms such as Power BI is a bonus.
Understanding of e-commerce merchandising strategies is advantageous.
