Job Overview and Responsibilities
You will provide advanced technical support for intricate enterprise network environments, overseeing the design, deployment, and refinement of network solutions across diverse industries. The role demands prompt resolution of critical network problems to minimize operational disruptions and leadership of key network projects, including technology refresh initiatives.
Additional duties include participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation to address urgent network escalations, executing network upkeep such as security setups, patches, and upgrades, and conducting thorough risk evaluations and vulnerability assessments of network infrastructure. You will also continuously monitor network performance to advise on enhancements and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to guarantee uninterrupted service delivery.
As the principal technical escalation contact for complex network issues, you will prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing network status and performance metrics.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree holder in Computer Engineering or a related discipline
- At least five years’ experience in network engineering within medium to large-scale enterprises
- In-depth expertise with network technologies including routing, switching, firewalls, Fiber to the Home (FTTH), Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), and Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN)
- Proficient with WLAN solutions, notably Aruba and Aruba ClearPass platforms
- Advanced certifications desired such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Huawei HCIP/HCIE, Network Certified Engineer (NCE), or Aruba ACCP
- Hands-on knowledge with various firewall and security technologies
- Strong competency in configuring and fine-tuning network devices to enhance security and performance
- Experienced in managing projects and resolving troubleshooting challenges
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical information to varied audiences
- Ability to work independently and adapt within team environments
- Commitment to continual professional growth and staying abreast of evolving network advances
