About Spanda
Spanda is a prominent and rapidly expanding fine arts organization located in Dubai that specializes in delivering authentic Indian art and cultural experiences. The company offers instruction in Bharatanatyam dance, Carnatic music, Kerala mural painting, clay modeling, and other traditional Indian art forms. These programs cater to a diverse audience ranging from beginners to advanced learners, welcoming individuals of all ages and cultural backgrounds. Classes and workshops are hosted throughout the week at Spanda's centers in Al Nahda and Al Quoz, fostering an engaging and dynamic educational atmosphere. Beyond regular courses, Spanda also provides commission-based art events and creates artwork for special occasions, promoting creative collaboration. The team aims to uphold cultural traditions while making fine arts accessible and enjoyable in a modern context.
Role Overview
The Office Coordinator position is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Al Nahda 1, Dubai. The role entails overseeing the daily administrative functions at Spanda’s centers to ensure a smooth operation. Responsibilities include managing the front desk, welcoming visitors, handling inquiries by phone, email, and in person, as well as creating a friendly and professional environment for students and families.
The coordinator will organize and update class schedules, assist with student registration and payment processing, maintain records, and facilitate communication among instructors, students, and management staff.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience ranging from zero to two years in relevant administrative or coordination roles
- Strong administrative skills, including schedule management, accurate record-keeping, data entry, and basic document handling
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service capabilities to professionally address inquiries and support learners and families
- Familiarity and confidence with using office equipment such as printers and scanners, plus proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or equivalents)
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds
- Previous experience in office coordination, reception, or administrative work, preferably within education, arts, or client-facing environments
- Sound organizational and time-management skills, with keen attention to detail and reliability in handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Willingness to work on-site in a lively center environment with flexible availability to support various classes and events held throughout the week
- An interest in or appreciation for Indian arts and culture is considered advantageous
