About the Role
Xpanel Building Technologies is seeking an Operations Manager based in Dubai, UAE, to oversee day-to-day operational activities. This full-time, on-site position entails driving efficiency, productivity, and alignment of all business units with the organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, coordinating, and supervising operational tasks across various departments and business units.
- Formulating and enforcing operational policies, procedures, and best practices aimed at boosting efficiency and quality of service.
- Tracking key performance indicators and compiling operational reports for senior leadership.
- Managing budgets, resources, and expenditures to ensure cost-efficient operations.
- Handling payroll processing with accuracy and timely payments.
- Issuing invoices and managing payment collections as necessary.
- Collaborating with accountants on financial documentation, reconciliations, and VAT filings.
- Leading, mentoring, and assessing operational teams to foster accountability and continuous improvement.
- Working with department heads to ensure cohesive workflow and achievement of business objectives.
- Identifying risks in operations and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensuring adherence to company policies, legal standards, health and safety regulations, and industry requirements.
- Overseeing vendor, supplier, and contractor performance to uphold quality and service standards.
- Driving initiatives for process optimization and digital transformation.
- Contributing to strategic planning and company expansion efforts.
- Promptly resolving operational challenges to guarantee uninterrupted business activities.
Requirements
- Proven track record as an Operations Manager with similar responsibilities is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree or MBA is advantageous.
- At least five years of experience in managing operations, ideally within a holding company or a multi-business and multi-industry environment.
- Expertise in managing and coordinating operations across several subsidiaries or business units simultaneously.
- Strong financial skills including budgeting, cost management, and reporting over diverse business portfolios.
- Experience liaising with accountants for financial statements and VAT submissions, with preference for UAE VAT knowledge.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and other operational software tools.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to adapt and work across different sectors and industries within the group.
- Fluent English communication skills; Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Must be able to work on-site in Dubai.
Additional Information
- Salary range: AED 15,000 to AED 18,000 per month.
- Medical insurance and employment visa will be provided.
- Annual leave entitlement according to UAE labor laws (30 days).
