Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Ophthalmology Professor to join our team in Madurai, India. The role involves teaching, mentoring, clinical practice, and research within the field of ophthalmology to both undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver detailed lectures and facilitate interactive sessions covering ophthalmology topics for undergrad and postgrad medical students.
- Provide mentorship and hands-on clinical training in diagnosing and managing eye-related conditions.
- Lead and oversee research projects to advance ophthalmologic medical knowledge and treatment methods.
- Offer clinical services in the ophthalmology department, including emergency care, ensuring excellent patient outcomes.
- Design and regularly update academic curricula to stay current with new developments and standards in ophthalmology.
- Engage in academic administrative tasks such as exam coordination, grading, and student evaluation processes.
- Keep thorough documentation for both clinical cases and academic records to support teaching and research efforts.
- Work collaboratively with other faculty and departments to foster interdisciplinary educational and research activities.
Qualifications
- Completed MBBS degree.
- Postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology: MD, MS, or DNB.
