Role Overview
This full-time, permanent role based in Cork and surrounding areas offers a unique opportunity to join our Retinal Technicians team. The position primarily involves conducting eye photography to detect retinal damage related to diabetes complications. No prior experience is required, making it ideal for individuals seeking to enter healthcare or expand their expertise within the field. Our experienced and supportive team will guide you to become a specialist in this important area.
Team Environment
You will collaborate closely with Senior Diabetic Retinal Technicians, Team Leaders, and receive administrative and clinical support from the programme manager and clinical lead. The team consists of professionals dedicated to achieving excellence in diagnosing Retinopathy, ensuring continuous support throughout your journey.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- No previous experience necessary
- Must hold a valid Full Clean Irish driver’s license and have secure vehicle storage
- Strong dedication to customer service and promoting positive patient experiences
- Proficiency in IT, including word processing, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to prioritize tasks, demonstrate initiative, and apply problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; able to work independently after initial training
- Excellent communication abilities at various levels
